Skin Rejuvenation

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning removes the outermost layers of dead cells and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) using a sterile surgical blade, leaving the skin immediately smooth, supple, and vibrant. Dermaplaning is another non-traumatic method of skin rejuvenation used to help treat scars, wrinkles, crow’s feet, splotchy pigmentation, sun damage, and age spots on the skin.

CryoFacial

It may not sound enjoyable to freeze your face, but that’s precisely what a cryotherapy facial does. During the cryo facial, sometimes playfully called “frotox,” a machine-operated device pumps liquid nitrogen onto the face. This service brightens skin, tightens pores, and even reduces the appearance of fine lines or age spots, all in as little as 15 minutes. Clients and staff at HALINA love it.

FAQ’S

✤ Who’s an ideal candidate?

Cryotherapy facials are a non-invasive cosmetic procedure, and unlike certain peels or microdermabrasion, they won’t leave skin looking red or raw.
Anyone who wants a glow is a great candidate for a cryotherapy facial—especially those who feel that their skin looks tired or dull. If you’re pregnant or nursing, it’s recommended that you check in with your doctor before getting a cryo facial.

Chemical Peels

Facials are designed to cleanse the skin, refine it, and slough away all dead cells from the surface to cultivate new and fresh tissue. Chemical peels are quite different. They remove the topmost layer of skin cells entirely using specified chemical solutions to strip this damaged layer away from the face for good. Our clients at HALINA spa + medical rejuvenation love chemical peels because they offer a resurfacing and cleansing result.

For our clients with acne, facial scarring, uneven pigmentation, and other skin imperfections, chemical peels will reduce their appearance while offering them an entirely new skin canvas to work from in their skincare efforts. These chemical peels give you a second chance you’ve always wanted.

During your consultation at HALINA spa + medical rejuvenation, you and your skin care professional will review all of your customized skincare options and will decide whether or not a chemical peel is right for you.

There may be some minor swelling and redness after every peel, including mild to moderate peeling of the skin. After-care instructions will help minimize your recovery. Your skin will require high levels of moisturizing home care, and our team will make sure you have the best products during this phase. Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)

Glycolic, Lactic, and Mandelic acids produce light to heavy peeling depending on the strength and pH of the solution and may be used to treat fine wrinkling, areas of dryness, uneven pigmentation, and acne. This chemical peel is one of the most natural of all facial peels. It utilizes basic acid-sugar compounds at high concentrations strong enough to remove the topmost skin but gentle enough to heal beautifully and refresh the skin.

Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA)

Salicylic acid is a great tool to treat acne and acne-prone skin. Salicylic acid is both highly keratolytic and comedolytic. This means it not only dissolves dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, but it’s also able to get down into the pore, dissolve the oil, and break apart the debris inside that commonly leads to acne.

Microneedling

Finding new and effective ways to resurface the skin, not just the outermost layer but deep in the dermal layer, is one way we bring treatment benefits to our patients. Backed by clinical evidence, one of our favorite results-based tools that keeps patient recovery time and comfort in mind is our nonsurgical, minimally invasive microneedling skin resurfacing treatment. Microneedling, appropriately coined “collagen-induction therapy,” stimulates collagen production, firming skin, and improving elasticity along with scars and wrinkles.

Microneedling allows us to create micro-injuries in the skin at a controlled depth to induce collagen production in the treatment areas. Used on the body and face, including delicate areas such as the décolletage, allows us to treat sensitive and resilient areas. Our patients at HALINA spa + medical rejuvenation appreciate this new skin repair method to resurface and restructure their once glowing, beautiful skin.

Microneedling

We Can Slow the Aging Process. Losing elasticity and strength in these tissues is an issue that we need to address as early as possible to avoid further skin aging. While aging is an inherent fact of life, it is unnecessary to let it get out of hand. We can do something about these changes and hold them off as long as possible. But don’t let fine lines and wrinkles be your starting point to get on the ball and look at your skin’s condition. At HALINA, we offer complimentary skincare consultations to give you medically insightful tips to correct your skin concerns using the most beneficial treatments before visible changes are apparent.

We work with our clients to completely restructure degrading tissues at a safe depth that will call on the body’s natural mechanisms to repair years of damage and slow the aging process.

FAQ’s

✤ What is Microneedling, and how does it work?

Increasing collagen and elastin production is the purpose of our microneedling treatments. Elastin and collagen fibers are the healthy building blocks of tight, evenly textured skin. Microneedling uses a hand-held device with 12 or more microneedles at the tip. These microneedles make tiny punctures in an evenly spaced manner activating the natural healing processes in the skin.

✤ Benefits of Microneedling

  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Reduces scarring, i.e., acne scars, and stretch marks
  • Improves texture and tone
  • Softens fine lines and wrinkles
  • Promotes healing
  • Improves micro-circulation

After your microneedling procedure, our team will give you specific instructions and recommendations on optimizing your result. Many people will see results in two to four weeks.

✤ How many microneedling treatments will you need?

Depending on the degree of improvements you require, we may recommend anywhere from three to six treatments, and each treatment is performed approximately one month apart.

Agnes RF (Unipolar Radiofrequency Microneedling)

Agnes RF is a precision microneedling device that utilizes Radio Frequency (RF) energy to rejuvenate facial and body tissues, correct facial asymmetry, improve facial wrinkles’ appearance, and treat severe acne through selective sebaceous gland destruction.

Agnes RF Microneedling

Agnes is a safe and effective treatment for all tissue types.  This technology uses micro-insulated needles to penetrate the skin at specific points and depths, distributing radiofrequency energy at precise temperatures and generating a tissue response without damaging the skin’s uppermost layer.  Results are immediate and often quite dramatic with minimal downtime for the patient.

FAQ’s

✤ Benefits of Agnes RF

  • Acne clearing
  • Correction of selected dermatological issues
  • Firming
  • Focused fat destruction
  • Lifting
  • Tightening
  • Smoothing
  • Sculpting and symmetry

✤ How long does an Agnes RF treatment take?

Most treatments take anywhere from 20 to 90 minutes, depending on the treatment size and skin concerns.

✤ What should I expect during treatment?

The treatment area is fully anesthetized (numbed) beforehand, and there is minimal to no discomfort during the treatment. There may be mild redness, swelling, and heat in treated areas for a short period after the treatment.

✤ How many treatments are required?

Clients can see improvement after one treatment, but a series of one to three treatments may be necessary to achieve optimum results. The effects of each treatment will continue to improve over the coming months.

✤ What is the recovery time?

As soon as your treatment is complete, you should be free to resume your normal daily activities. There is minimal to no downtime with an Agnes RF treatment. Some patients may experience mild sensitivity in the treatment areas similar to a sunburn after their treatment.

✤ How is this compared to other acne treatments?

Other existing acne treatments (oral medication, scaling, chemical peels, laser, etc.) do not treat acne’s direct cause and provide temporary results. Agnes RF selectively destroys the sebaceous glands where acne-causing bacteria reside. Once the sebaceous gland is destroyed, no further acne can reoccur in that area.

✤ Is AGNES RF safe for all skin types?

AGNES is safe for any skin color. Agnes’s radiofrequency energy is NOT like other traditional radiofrequency devices. Agnes’s unique RF waveform protects the surrounding and superficial tissues from residual heat, which can cause pigmentary changes in darker skin types.

Scarlet RF (Short-Pulsed Radiofrequency)

Scarlet SRF distributes rapid energy pulses through 25 non-insulated microneedles, resulting in tissue coagulation around each needle when placed into the skin. Unlike traditional RF microneedling, this provides:Scarlet SRF distributes rapid energy pulses through 25 non-insulated microneedles, resulting in tissue coagulation around each needle when placed into the skin.

FAQ’s

✤ How many treatments will I need? How long does it take before I see improvement?

Some visible tightening results are immediate, and the effects of dermal remodeling appear gradually over several months as collagen and elastin fibers regenerate. The results of a single treatment can last six months to a year; however, we recommend a series of treatments to achieve optimal results.

✤ How long does a treatment take?

Scarlet SRF treatments take about 25 minutes for the face and 15 minutes for the neck. The time needed for a body treatment depends on the area’s size and condition to be treated. Scarlet SRF is both time-efficient and revolutionarily effective.

✤ What is expected with a Scarlet SRF treatment?

Thirty minutes before your treatment, the skin is anesthetized (numbed) with a topical numbing agent applied in our office. During the treatment, some patients feel nothing, while others may experience a mild heat-sensation briefly while the pulse is delivered to the tissues.

✤ What is the recovery time?

Clients can see improvement after one treatment, but a series of one to three treatments may be necessary to achieve optimum results. The effects of each treatment will continue to improve over the coming months.

✤ What is the recovery time?

After your treatment, mild redness, warmth, swelling, and a sunburn-like sensation are common and may last up to 24 hours. There is no bleeding, bruising, or sensitivity often experienced with other microneedle treatments. Many patients return to their regular daily activities immediately following a Scarlet SRF treatment. For those receiving a scalp treatment, you may feel a slight pulling or tugging sensation for a few days post-treatment.

✤ Is Scarlet SRF treatment safe for all skin types?

Unlike many laser treatments, Scarlet SRF is safe for all skin types. Scarlet SRF selectively heats the dermal layers with each pulse to rejuvenate the skin without resulting in epidermal pigmentation changes.
